$15K to $45K — 6 AI Chatbots Offer Conservative Bitcoin Price Forecasts for Year’s End

In a bid to gauge the future trajectory of Bitcoin’s value,

Bitcoin.com News engaged with six AI-powered chatbots back in June 2023 to forecast the cryptocurrency’s price by the end of the year. Revisiting the experiment four months later, the updated predictions from these AI chatbots have arrived, showing a slightly more conservative outlook compared to their previous estimates.

Revisiting Bitcoin Price Forecast Experiment: AI Chatbots Reevaluate Predictions On June 23, 2023, Bitcoin.com News conducted an experiment to test the predictive capabilities of six prominent AI-powered chatbots: Claude Instant, Claude 2, Chatgpt 3.5, Chatgpt 4, Bing Creative, and Google’s Bard. These chatbots were tasked with estimating Bitcoin’s price on December 31, 2023.

Anthropic developed both iterations of Claude, while Google engineered Bard. OpenAI is credited with developing Chatgpt 3.5 and Chatgpt 4, along with the model behind Microsoft’s Bing Creative. On November 3, 2023, the experiment was repeated with minor adjustments to the inquiry, taking into account Bitcoin’s current price, the countdown to the next halving event, and the prevailing economic uncertainty.

The updated experiment prompted the following responses from the AI chatbots:

  1. Claude Instant forecasted Bitcoin’s price to range between $35,000 and $45,000 by the end of 2023, citing historical trends of price increases leading up to halving events and overall market optimism.
  2. Claude 2 refrained from providing a definitive prediction due to the inherent difficulty in forecasting cryptocurrency prices accurately. However, it suggested a plausible range of $15,000 to $40,000 based on prevailing market conditions.
  3. Bing AI Creative mode anticipated Bitcoin’s price to hover around $40,000 by the year’s end, reflecting a modest increase from the current level, supported by factors such as halving anticipation and market dynamics.
  4. Bard’s response indicated a potential price range of $15,000 to $40,000, aligning with the conservative forecasts provided by other AI chatbots.
  5. Chatgpt 3.5 declined to offer a specific prediction, emphasizing the multifaceted nature of factors influencing Bitcoin’s price and the short timeframe until the year’s end.
  6. Chatgpt4 suggested a plausible range of $38,000 to $41,500 for Bitcoin’s price by the end of 2023, factoring in both bullish sentiment from halving anticipation and potential economic uncertainties.

AI Predictions Reflect Restraint Amid Market Optimism Despite a recent surge in Bitcoin’s value, driven partly by anticipation surrounding the approval of a spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), the AI chatbots’ predictions for the cryptocurrency’s price by the year’s end exhibit caution. Notably, their forecasts reflect a more reserved outlook compared to earlier estimates, underscoring the nuanced nature of cryptocurrency market dynamics.

As the year approaches its conclusion, stakeholders will continue to monitor Bitcoin’s price movements closely, considering the insights provided by both AI chatbots and industry experts.
