Crypto Market Recap: Winners and Losers of the Week

In the realm of cryptocurrency trading, this week witnessed a mixed bag of gains and losses, with bitcoin and ethereum showing modest upticks while several altcoins experienced significant movements against the U.S. dollar. Among the top performers, ARK, SNT, and SUSHI emerged as frontrunners, showcasing impressive gains over the past seven days.

Market Highlights: ARK Leads, FLOKI Struggles

During the week spanning from October 28 to November 4, 2023, approximately 50 cryptocurrencies displayed noteworthy gains, ranging from 12% to an impressive 168% against the U.S. dollar. Conversely, around 30 tokens faced pullbacks, with losses ranging from negligible figures to declines exceeding 15%.

Leading the pack of gainers, ARK token surged by an impressive 168%, securing its position as the top performer of the week. Following closely, the status (SNT) token recorded a remarkable 118% gain, while sushi (SUSHI) experienced a notable 72% increase in value.

ARK and SNT emerged as the standout performers of the week, being the only tokens to achieve triple-digit gains among the top 50 cryptocurrencies. Additionally, wemix (WEMIX) and pancakeswap (CAKE) secured spots in the top five gainers, with gains ranging from 50% to 51.4%.

Further down the list, tokens such as SURE, ONG, POLY, RUNE, and ROSE showcased gains ranging from 32% to 49%, solidifying their positions among the top performers.

However, not all tokens fared well during the week, as evidenced by the significant declines observed in floki (FLOKI), baby doge coin (BABYDOGE), OMI, PEPE, and BONE. FLOKI led the pack of losers with a 15.76% decline, followed closely by BABYDOGE with a 14.04% drop in value.

The overall crypto market valuation reached $1.3 trillion, representing a 1.88% increase in the past 24 hours. Despite the recent gains, trade volume decreased by 24% compared to the previous day. Bitcoin maintained its dominance with a 52.3% market share, while ethereum held 17%.
